A child barely escaped death as he avoided a falling palm tree in a public park in Aali.

The father of the 12-year-old filed a complaint against the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning stating that the falling tree almost killed his son.

The father of “Mojtaba” said that his son was on his bike waiting for some food sold in front of the garden’s gate and he quickly moved away seconds before the palm tree fell on his bike.

The father explained that what splattered out of the palm tree caused injuries to his son and he immediately took his son to the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) for treatment, and the police recorded his testimony there.

The father confirmed that this was the second incident as another palm tree fell off before in the same garden.
