The General Directorate of Civil Defence evacuated 16 people yesterday after extinguishing a fire in several warehouses containing plastic and wooden waste in the scrape area in the Southern Governorate.
The main Operations Room received the case at 2:38am, and the civil defence teams reached the scene within minutes.
They started firefighting operations to prevent the spreading of flames and protect lives. The teams also carried out cooling operations.
