Bahrain: Commercial Stores Closure Checked by Police

A big number of police officers and individuals spread over heavy-populated and commercial areas to check closure commitment. The responsible police of those areas, the Capital Governorate’s Police Directorate, toured a number of areas in central Manama for that purpose.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism has recently announced a closure decision to close industrial and commercial stores that provide goods or services directly to customers.

The ministry added that the decision came in implementation of the decisions of the Coordination Committee and in implementation of the decision to close all shops from March 26 to next April 9 and only provide delivery service, except for a number of stores like hypermarkets, groceries, clod stores, bakeries, pharmacies, bank branches and banks in line with the precautionary measures and preventive measures taken to limit and prevent the spread of the (COVID-19).
