The Public Prosecutor, Head of the Human Trafficking Prosecution, announced that the High Criminal Court has issued sentences in four separate cases involving human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The sentences range from imprisonment for up to five years to fines totaling BD33,000.

All sentences include mandatory restitution for the victims’ repatriation costs and the permanent deportation of foreign nationals convicted.

The first case involved a report filed by victims alleging they were trafficked and forced into illegal activities, including acts contrary to public morals, for financial gain. The other three cases involved victims who were lured to Bahrain under false pretenses of employment opportunities.

Upon arrival, the defendants transported and housed them in various locations, exploiting them for illegal activities through coercion and threats in exchange for financial gain.
