Bahrain: COVID-19 vaccinations generate wide interest

Bahraini citizens and expatriates have shown great interest in receiving the vaccine against COVID-19 with the initiation of the vaccination campaign in the kingdom, the Health Ministry has said without giving specific figures.

The ministry called on people to register for the vaccine through its website https://healthalert.gov.bh to set appointments for citizens and foreign residents to take the vaccine.

“The vaccine is offered for free and everyone above the age of 18 can register to take it,” the ministry said on its Twitter account.

Health authorities stressed the importance of being vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of the country’s efforts to stem the pandemic.
