Bahrain: Crab Fishing And Selling Prohibited

The fishing and selling of crabs will be prohibited in the country for two months, said the Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources of Bahrain.

The prohibition which will be set out from March 15 until May 15, intends to stop fishing during the reproduction period to preserve marine wealth and biodiversity in the regional waters of Bahrain.

Marine control teams, in coordination with the concerned authorities, will start supervising operations to prevent any violations or exploitations of the decision. They will ensure that Bahrain’s marine wealth is safeguarded.
