Rumors of an increase in fuel rates in Bahrain have been refuted by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).

Social media posts claiming an increase in Mumtaz to 152 fils, Jayyid to 234 fils and Diesel to 190 fils have been circulating online in the past few days. The post also claimed that the increase will be effective on the 15th of July.

Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) also denied the same allegations and confirmed its commitment to supply the local market with its needs of fuel and energy products without the intention to increase the existing princes.
