Bahrain Duty Free Doubles Tobacco Prices

The increase came following a regulatory decision by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism.

Tobacco prices at the airport duty-free shop have increased by 50% and 100%. The increase that included all types of tobacco, came following a regulatory decision by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism. This increased price would only be for those coming into Bahrain, while prices will remain the same in the departure side.

Please consider the following: 1. If the prices have become doubled on Tobacco, this will not bothered tourists? 2. Why don’t you allow a limit gross for individual arriving Bahrain with at same duty free cost. However for any extra should be paid double. 3. Are you assured, this action will not reach the cigarettes cost for departuring travelers, in future? 4. After this major rising on the cigarettes cost in town, is there penalty/fine on the suppliers if they’re failed to refurnishing the market with enough quantity of cigarettes?
