Bahrain’s Everest expedition team made a four-hour acclimatisation trek from Namche Bazaar ahead of their climb to Mount Everest.
They took the Namche route to conduct a “4 to 5-hour” trek to gain 1,000m in altitude, then drop down 500m, to reduce effects of altitude sickness.
Bahrain’s 16 member expedition team comprised of 13 Bahraini Defence Force members and three British nationals, is accompanied by 100 people, including Sherpas, mountain guides and high altitude workers.
