The Lower Criminal Court acquitted an expat man accused of stealing his wife’s printing machine due to lack of evidence.
The wife of the defendant claimed that he had stolen equipment worth BD 30,000 and was abetted by his cousin, but her confession of having disputes with him prompted the court to doubt her allegations and eventually drop charges against the man.
The duo refuted the plaintiff’s accusations and insisted on their innocence. Additionally, the defendant provided receipts confirming that he was the one who bought the equipment and they belonged to him. Therefore, the court decided to drop the charges against them.
