Police yesterday arrested a 32-year-old foreign national for attempting to steal money from the outlet of a currency exchange company.
The criminal Investigation Directorate said the suspect fled the scene after a failed attempt. “We soon deployed a team to trace the man and managed to identify him quickly,” officers said.
Reportedly, the suspect barged into the store intending to steal but took to his heels when the employees tried to stop him. The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence said they are pursuing legal action against the suspect.
