Bahrain: Expat Mechanic ‘Doctor’ Arrested Red-Handed

An Asian car mechanic was arrested as he converted his apartment and workplace in Arad Industrial Zone into a “clinic” in which he practised medical profession without a license.

Another person was arrested for helping him.

The Director-General of Muharraq Police Directorate stated that upon receiving information in this regard, the Directorate began search and investigation operations that resulted in identifying the suspect.

When police managed to raid the place and catch him red-handed, treating patients, they also seized the equipment, tools, electronic devices and medical drugs he manufactured and used in his practice, in addition to the financial sums he earned.
