Bahrain ‘experiment’ trip was a success, WTCPB Founder says

Following a recent 5-day Cross Border Business Development visit from Palm Beach to Bahrain, Alfred Zucaro, World Trade Center Palm Beach (WTCPB) President and Founder unequivocally declared the ‘experiment’ trip a success.

Of the dozen or so companies represented by WTCPB’s traveling delegates, three immediate results are reported, with more on the way. Deals that are advancing involve the procurement of food (meat) products, supplying industrial pumps for use in oil drilling facilities, and an internship cooperation agreement for higher education students to and from Bahrain.

The reception was jointly coordinated by Amcham, the Bahrain India Society, and the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society with some 70 attendees. Trade Representative from Bahrain to the US Rose Sager coordinated the activities for the Bahrain delegation with its numerous agencies, providing overviews, and insights into the business, education, and governmental offerings.

In a post on the WTCPB website, Alfred shared a picture-heavy days’ recap with comments covering the successful ‘experiment’.

It was a visit designed to include meetings with business and tourism officials, members of the local and state governments, and even the possibility of the Governor’s participation, he says in his post. It was a visit to allow Palm Beach County to demonstrate why it should be Bahrain’s portal for business and commerce into the state of Florida, the US, and Canada, specifically, as well as the Western Hemisphere, generally, he added.
