The Ministry of Health announced the postponement of the second dose of Sputnik V vaccine until the arrival of the new batches of vaccine.
The delay is due to the rescheduling of production and supply operations by the manufacturer.
The ministry stressed that the delay in taking the second dose will not affect the effectiveness of the vaccine and in some cases, increasing the time between the two doses increase the efficacy of the vaccine.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that it communicated with the manufacturer of the Sputnik vaccine to provide the necessary quantity and to confirm the dates for the delivery of shipments to the Kingdom.
Stressing that all those registered for the Sputnik vaccine will be rescheduled for the second dose through the BeAware application as per the scheduled arrival of the new batches to the Kingdom.
