Bahrain: Famous Hypermarket Checked by Inspection Officers

Inspection officers visited branches of a well-known hypermarket and clarified the necessity of following precautionary measures. This was announced by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The ministry added the visit came upon receiving complaints through the National System for Proposals and Complaints (Tawasul) about significant congestion in one of the well-known hypermarkets. The complaint received, the ministry noted, does not adhere to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health to reduce and limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The stated inspection officers met with officials in these commercial markets and clarified the importance of following precautionary measures and preventive measures to preserve public safety. Officers said that urgent and necessary measures were immediately taken by the markets administration in this regard.

The ministry praised the market’s immediate response and calls on all shops and markets to adhere to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and in particular the measures of social separation in a manner that contributes to limiting the spread of the virus and preserving the health of citizens and residents in the Kingdom.
