Bahrain Flags at Half-Mast to Honour Hosni Mubarak

Former Egypt President Hosni Mubarak died on Tuesday at the age of 91 after undergoing treatment in intensive care following surgery. The former air force officer will be buried in a military funeral but the timing is still unconfirmed.

Following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister issued an edict to fly flags at half-mast.

Under the edict, Bahrain’s flags will be flown at half-mast for one day at the kingdom’s public institutions, as well as embassies and diplomatic missions abroad following the demise of the former Egyptian President.
