Bahrain formulates Formula 1 traffic plan

The Director-General of Traffic said on Monday that a comprehensive traffic plan for the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula 1) had been formulated.

The plan is part of the directives of the Interior Minister to ensure traffic safety on the roads, especially those leading to the F1 venue.

All procedures to implement the plan had been activated for the protection of the public, including road diversions in certain periods which will be announced through the media.

He asserted the readiness of the directorate for the international event through the control room and equipping the patrols with the required tools and allocated an office to deal with accidents.
