In a significant crackdown, police have dismantled a major drug trafficking ring, arresting four individuals involved with narcotics and pills valued at over half a million dinars
The Bahraini court has remanded the suspects in custody for 15 days pending further investigation. Authorities intercepted the suspects with a staggering 84 kilograms of drugs and 18,500 pills.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence reported that the men were caught red-handed while distributing the narcotics, revealing a substantial trafficking operation.
Alongside the drugs, police seized a large sum of cash in various currencies, believed to be proceeds from the drug trade.
Yesterday, the suspects appeared before a judge, where their attorneys, Nada Adel Abdulkareem and Yusuf Ghaneem, requested their release. However, the Public Prosecution argued for their continued detention.
The Deputy Head of the Drug Crimes Unit confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with authorities focused on uncovering the full scope of the trafficking network.
