Video lessons for various classes are being designed and shot by the Education ministry in full swing for the new academic year, revealed an Education ministry official.

To date, the ministry has recorded a total of 501 classes in its hi-tech recording studio at Wadi Al Sail Primary Preparatory School for Boys.

“The ministry will telecast classes on Bahrain’s satellite channel and YouTube channels at the start of the new school year,” said Ahlam Al-Amer, Assistant Undersecretary for Curricula and Educational Supervision, Ministry of Education.

Lessons are for classes in Arabic and English, Mathematics, Science, Citizenship, Social and Islamic Education, in addition to specialisation courses in general secondary education.

“The recording of the classes, which began on 28th this June, is being done as episodes,” said Al Amer.

The first episode, which has 160 lessons explains lessons in a classroom environment and simulates reality by employing various teaching methodologies to attract children and motivate them.

The second and third episodes have 117 and 94 video lessons, respectively. Another 130 classes shot are for secondary school students of various educational levels. Videos will be telecast at a rate of 15 lessons per day.

Al Amer explained that the ministry has roped in teachers for videos from various government schools in the Kingdom.
