Manama Municipality to be revamped to enter Unesco heritage list

The historic building of the Manama Municipality is to be revamped as part of a bid to feature on the Unesco List of World Heritage Sites.

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning will partner to renovate the iconic building.

The authority will develop the restoration work of the building in accordance with the original urban features and commission a specialized engineering team and designers in coordination with the ministry.
