Bahrain: Housing Ministry Launches Virtual Customer Service Centre Platform

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has launched a virtual customer service centre platform on its website that enables citizens to complete their services remotely.

Donia Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary of Resources and Information at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, said that the platform will enable customers to access all of the services available at the ministry’s centre, including the submission of a variety of housing applications, application status inquiries, updating information, and other electronic services.

The platform offers a variety of interactive customer services, including live chats, visual communication features such as sign language support, the option of submitting inquiries, notes, and suggestions through the National Suggestions and Complaints system Tawasul, a dedicated hotline at 80008001 for citizens, as well as remote consultations for the ministry’s financing services.

The platform also provides all the information, standards, and provisions related to each service and instructions on how to use them.
