Eligibility to Apply for US Accreditation
The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) became the first University in the Kingdom to achieve eligibility to proceed with an Application for Accreditation with the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) on June 3, 2021. This is one of the highest levels of quality assurance, and once awarded, AUBH would become the first and only higher education institution to be accredited by WSCUC in Kingdom.
Partnership with California State University, Northridge
The American University of Bahrain is in the process of forming an academic partnership with the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) which is part of the largest four-year public university system in the United States, the California State University system.
Local Collaborations
AUBH knows the value of collaboration between higher education leaders and the local sector. Through local collaboration, AUBH is able to provide sessions, workshops and training opportunities that are dedicated to the continued growth and development of students both inside and outside of the classroom.
AUBH is currently seeking accreditation with the Quality Assurance in Bahrain through the Bahrain Quality Assurance. In addition to that, they are in the process of getting listed on the National Quality framework and ultimately will ensure that their institution and all of their programs have met all of the expectations of BQA.
Growth and Expansion
Subject to HEC approval, AUBH is introducing new programs including Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources, Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Marketing & Social Media, and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
They are also introducing their first graduate programs with the launch of the Master of Science in Engineering Management, Master of Arts in Multimedia Management, and Master of Business Administration.
Furthermore, AUBH is working with industry partners to secure business-sponsored scholarships to ensure that AUBH is accessible to more students.
