Bahrain: IIT Madras to launch its exam centre tomorrow

One of India’s education pioneers, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, is launching its exam centre in Bahrain for its “BS in Data Science and Application” – an online Bachelor’s programme.

The event will be held virtually tomorrow at 12pm.

Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Piyush Srivastava is the keynote speaker. IIT Madras Dean (Academics) Prof. Prathap Haridoss, Coordinator Prof. Vignesh Muthuvijayan, and Abdul Jaleel Abdulla, the Bahrain Exam Centre Director, will be present.

Speaking about the event, Abdul Jaleel Abdulla said: “This is a good opportunity for the students to achieve an IIT Bachelor’s degree while residing in Bahrain.

“We are happy that Laurels Centre for Global Education is becoming a platform for major competitive exams like IIT Bachelors, NPTEL, JEE Main, CUET, ACCA CBE, NIOS, NATA, Tally etc.”

“This qualification would open doors for job opportunities and higher studies in India and abroad,” he emphasised. During the event, IIT officials will explain the academic structure and admission processes, as well as answer queries and benefits of the course.
