The Second Civil Supreme Court of Appeal upheld a fine of 3,000 dinars for a medical center and a general practitioner for running an unauthorized plastic surgery that was not within its jurisdiction for a patient and causing medical damage.

The patient had filed a complaint against the hospital and the doctor to National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), which issued a decision fining the medical center an amount of 3,000 dinars for the incident.

The Center then filed an appeal to the court requesting to call off the decision issued by the Commission.

The court upheld the verdict confirming the violation and said that the license obtained by the doctor is a general one and not a cosmetologist which does not authorize him to take any cosmetic procedure.
