Bahrain Implements Special Medical Rates for Expats

The Minister of Health, Faeqa Al-Saleh issued a decision listing the prices of some health services provided by the Ministry institutions to non-Bahrainis.

The price lists for health services provided to non-Bahraini patients who are not government employees and their families, and who are not subscribers to the primary health care system in the health institutions of the Ministry of Health, shall be determined in accordance with the list of approved health services prices published on the website.

According to the table, the rates start from BD 50 for many medical procedures, and up to BD 5,000 for the most expensive kidney transplant surgery. Children’s operations will cost between 75 and 150 dinars.
