Bahrain inaugurates new 184-bed ICU at A’ali

Bahrain inaugurated a new intensive care unit in A’ali, which is allocated to treat existing asymptomatic cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

It is one of the largest medical facilities for isolation and treatment, with 814 beds and is managed by the Ministry of Health.

This opening comes as part of the directives to raise the capacity of isolation and treatment centers. The National Taskforce is working according to a carefully planned strategy to control the outbreak.

The chairman of the SCH and the Head of the National Taskforce to Combat Coronavirus Lt. General Dr. Sh. Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said that Bahrain will continue its efforts at all levels by providing the capabilities, qualified human resources and medical facilities to achieve the goal of eliminating the virus.
