Bahrain’s national judo team concluded its participation in the Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam 2025, held in Mongolia, with a total of three well-earned bronze medals, marking one of the team’s notable performances on the international stage.
Israpil Sagaipov secured the bronze medal in the under-90kg category, while his teammate Said Sadrudinov added the third medal for the team after clinching bronze in the under-100kg category, highlighting the national team’s strength across various weight divisions.
The Kingdom’s first medal in the championship was won by Askerbii Gerbekov, who earned bronze in the under-81kg category, opening Bahrain’s medal tally at the prestigious event.
The Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam is part of the International Judo Federation’s official calendar and plays a key role in enhancing athletes’ global rankings. It also serves as a vital preparatory milestone for upcoming international competitions.
