On the second day of competitions, Fawzeya Al Omairi (Cadets) drew 6-6 with a Jordanian athlete before the match was decided in favour of her opponent by referees (2-2).  Yousef Nawaf (Olympic category) lost by full points to Jordan’s world number one Mohammed Jaafari, and was later eliminated in the repêchage by a Qatari competitor.  Fatima Falamerzi (Olympic category) exited in the first round following a 9-1 loss to a Saudi competitor.

Coach Bassam Eid said the championship offered valuable experience and exposure to strong Arab teams with international standing, such as Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia.  He commended the team’s commendable results, noting that the medals won by athletes selected from the “Ana Mawhoob” campaign represent a promising achievement for the future of Bahraini karate.  He also expressed pride in the athletes’ performance and their efforts in raising Bahrain’s profile at the regional championships.
