Bahrain: Large Groups of Expats Seen Holding Eid Prayers

Big groups of Asians were seen yesterday morning holding Eid Al-Fitr prayers on buildings’ roofs tops in Manama. This went viral and received massive comments, most of which considered it as an irresponsible action.

Some comments stated that the action was a personal freedom as, they justified, they held their prayers on roof tops of buildings they reside.

Most comment noted that the action was against precautionary procedures taken by government to limit the spread of COVID-19.

It is noteworthy that officials decided to close mosques and not to perform Eid Al-Fitr prayers as part of its precautionary procedures to combat the emerging COVID-19.
