Bahrain: Last Notice Given to Owners of 150 ‘Scrap’ Vehicles
A total of 150 last notices were distributed to owners of scrap vehicles in the Southern Municipality. This announcement was made in an official circular by the Southern Municipality Council.
The circular indicated that the last notice was for owners of scrap vehicles that the municipality removed from roads and streets after completion of the administrative and financial procedures, paying the fines of removal.
In its circular, the municipality called on all social institutions and individuals to cooperate and play a role in maintaining public order and fighting the process of leaving scrap cars on public roads.
The municipality stressed that such abandoned vehicles cause environmental damage and security, which impedes traffic in some ways as well as distorts the public landscape.
