Bahrain: Legal Measures Taken Against Large Gatherings
“Legal measures were taken against those gathering in violation of the decisions to limit the spread of COVID-19,” announced the Capital Governorate’s Police through its official social media accounts.
The comment came in reply to viral videos of gatherings of migrant workers in public places.
The Capital Governorate’s Police confirmed that this action came upon directives of the General Security Presidency as part of its efforts to combat the virus and to intensify patrols to enhance compliance with the law.
It is worth mentioning that officials decided to ban family gatherings and public gatherings during Eid Al-Fitr for more than 5 persons as part of its precautionary procedures to combat the emerging COVID-19.
