Bahrain: LMRA Changes Work Procedures From Today

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has outlined contingency work procedures that come into effect today.

It announced the new procedures as part of precautionary measures being undertaken to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), urging applicants to use its electronic services.

The regulatory authority will be delivering its services at the main headquarters and branches, during the workdays, from 8 am until 3 pm.

Short messages (SMS) and emails have been sent to applicants, updating them about the new measures.

Applicants were urged to process their transactions online via the Expat Management System (EMS), the E-support platform to reduce their presence at the main headquarters and other branches.

Applicants are also urged to book appointments in advance in case their transactions require them to be present personally. Employers of domestic workers don’t need to make an appointment in advance.

Applicants are requested to get updated about the electronic services on www.lmra.bh or call LMRA contact centre on phone number: 17506055.
