A Bahraini man finds himself behind bars after allegedly threatening his ex-wife at knifepoint, inflicting injuries, and attempting to forcefully take her away in a speeding car.

The suspect is accused of illegally detaining the woman for six hours and threatening their daughter.

Additionally, he faces charges of possessing and abusing psychoactive substances, physical assault, and endangering the woman’s safety.

The case is currently being heard at the First Criminal Court.

Reportedly, the incident occurred while the man and his exwife were discussing personal matters in his car.

The woman, sensing the man’s inebriation and mental instability, cautiously kept the car doors slightly open as a precaution.

During their conversation, the man demanded that the woman close the door, but she refused.

Their daughter, who was on the phone with her mother at the time, overheard their escalating argument.

In a fit of rage, the man accelerated the car with the doors still open.

The woman tried to keep the doors from closing by blocking them with her feet.

However, the situation escalated when the man brandished a knife, inflicting wounds on her back, and demanded she close the door.

The woman recounted that the door eventually shut due to the car’s speed.

The court is set to hear the defendant’s testimony in the upcoming sessions.
