Bahrain police have arrested a 34-year old expat on suspicion of murdering a 35-year old expat of the same nationality in Tubli area. Investigators said the expat has confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody.
The suspect was arrested while attempting to escape from the crime scene. The expat was found murdered in a house in Tubli after his head was smashed using a hammer.
The body of the expat has been examined by a coroner. The report cited a blunt force trauma to the head as a result of assault using a hammer as the reason for the death. Bahrain Police who reached the crime scene following a tip-off on an ongoing fight arrested the suspect while attempting to escape from the house in Tubli.
The Prosecution Deputy Attorney General confirmed in a press statement that serious head injuries caused by a ‘hard object’ as the reason for the death.
