Police arrested a 46-year-old man for stealing a car from its owner on the pretext of buying it. The man landed in the police net after a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms.
Police, who took a note of the crime, launched an investigation in cooperation with the Forensic Investigations and Evidence and Capital Police Directorate.
The accused reportedly contacted the owner with an offer. He then drove off with the car on the pretext of taking it for a test drive and did not return with it. Based on the footage, police tracked down the accused through various sources.
