Bahrain: Man detained for violating shrimp ban

The Interior Ministry said that the Coast Guard’s land backup patrols managed to detain a man for violating the shrimping ban, adding that the quantity of shrimps he had in his possession was confiscated.

The 26-year-old was selling the shrimps in A’ali during the shrimping ban. The directorate said that the Legal steps are being taken following his arrest. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
