Bahrain: Mini van plunges into sea, one expat dead

One Asian man died and two others escaped when the minivan they were travelling in sank in the Ras Zuwayed area near Sitra at dawn yesterday.

According to officials, the vehicle fell into the waters due to reckless driving. The driver reportedly lost control of the steering wheel that resulted in the tragedy. After the van plunged into the sea, two men managed to get out of the vehicle immediately.

Though the Civil Defence personnel rescued the third passenger, he breathed his last in the ambulance.
