The Ministry has granted two hours paid daily rest as per the new directive to disabled employees and workers in the Kingdom.

First degree relatives in charge of people with severe disabilities are also entitled to the two-hour paid daily rest.

The Labour Ministry has also issued the Ministerial Edict setting the terms and regulations to incorporate the two hours paid daily rest.

The Social Care and Rehabilitation Ministry officials have conducted a series of meetings with relevant authorities to coordinate the implementation of the ministerial edict.

The ministry is proposed to hold meetings with human resources specialists from respective companies to update them about the scheduled work timings and also provide clarification on the new initiative to profit the disabled employees.

The new measure aims to benefit Bahraini nationals on submission of a medical report authorized by the public hospital operating in the Kingdom along with the application form.
