Bahrain: More Male Victims In Cases Of Child Sexual Abuse
A recent survey conducted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development revealed that 962 children, registered in the Child Protection Centre, were exposed to various types of violence.

A recent survey conducted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development revealed that 962 children, registered in the Child Protection Centre, were exposed to various types of violence.

According to the survey, the number of children subjected to sexual violence in 2018 was 148, including 15 victims under the age of five, 48 victims between the ages of 6 to 10, 79 victims between 11-15 years, and 6 victims between 16-18 years old.

The number of female victims of sexual violence was 71 while the number of male victims amounted to 77, a majority of these children belonged to the age group of 11 to 15 years.
