Saudi Arabia: Volunteers distribute 10,000 Iftar meals per day in Makkah

The Ikram Food Preservation Association in Makkah distributed over 115,000 Iftar meals to locals and expatriates in need during the first two weeks of Ramadan.

Local volunteers and residents, have distributed over 10,000 warm meals across 25 neighborhoods in Makkah city every day, Ahmed Al-Matrafi, the association’s director, said.

Around 47 vehicles with warming ovens and refrigeration are used to distribute the meals consisting of water, dates, and traditional dishes to break fast.
