Bahrain: Mosque closed for flouting mandatory health protocols

Bahrain has closed one mosque located in the Capital Governorate for one week for flouting the precautionary measures in force.

The decision was taken in coordination with the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus.

During the temporary closure, the relevant teams will carry out the process of tracing contacts, sanitize the premises and ensure that all precautionary measures are taken, the Ministry said.

The Justice Ministry stressed that it will intensify its inspection campaigns to ensure mosques’ full compliance with the precautionary health measures and protect worshippers’ safety and health, stressing that adherence to health guidelines and pre-emptive measures is both a religious responsibility and a national duty.
