Bahrain: Mosques reopen for all prayers starting today

Mosques across Bahrain will re-open for all prayers starting today, 11 March. However, the suspension of the Friday prayers has not been lifted.

The decision is based on the opinions of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and the recommendations of the National Medical taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVD-19), following consultations with the Sunni and Jaafari endowments, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments said.

Physically-able Muslims are required to perform five prayers daily in mosques – Fajr (Dawn), Dhuhr (Noon), Asr (Afternoon), Maghreb (Sunset) and Isha (Evening).
