The Muharraq Municipality has announced that its main building in Busaiteen will be closed from July 5 to 23 for maintenance and disinfection.

In its statement, the Muharraq Municipality said that the move is part of its commitment to strengthening the precautionary and preventive measures for the aim of protecting the health and safety of the citizens,  residents and employees from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The municipality said all the employees of its various sections will work from home during the closure to ensure that the transactions of the citizens and residents are not delayed, noting that 70% of its staff have been working from home during the past period, in line with the decision of the Government Executive Committee, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, in this regard.

The Muharraq Municipality called on customers to visit the official website of the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry (www.mun.gov.bh) or use the Ministry’s social network accounts to carry out their transactions and follow up on all procedures.
