Bahrain National Day Holidays Announced

His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister issued a circular regarding the holiday on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 47th Glorious National Day and 19th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.

According to Bahrain News Agency, all the government ministries, directorates and public institutions will be closed on 16th December (Sunday) and 17th December (Monday).

National Day celebrations are very long and widespread in Bahrain, extending through the entire month of December and including a wide array of events in every part of the island. National Day is usually accompanied by fireworks displays, impressive lights shows at night, colourful decoration of public monuments, flags set out all along the highways, folk dancing and singing, carnivals, “air parades,” heritage shows, and numerous speeches praising the accomplishments of of Bahrain and its citizens.
