Bahrain: New Application for Online Medical Appointments
An application for medical appointments (medical.bh) was officially launched on 3rd February 2020 and is specialized in booking medical appointments. It was launched with the support of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
CEO of the company responsible for the app, Ali Al-Halwachi, revealed that the app gives users the ability to book appointments with doctors of various specialties, according to the user’s choice in locations, times and dates, and they can also track the status of appointment requests. Users, he noted, can also access thousands of medical videos, photos, and advice about healthcare. The application, he said, has been fully integrated with the operating systems in a large number of clinics, centers, and hospitals operating in Bahrain, giving users the opportunity to know their doctors before booking the appointment.
Al-Halwachi pointed out that more than 80% of the private health sector uses the company’s software and currently there were more than 200 doctors in the application, in addition to a number of hospitals.
