Housing minister said that the station will contribute in developing East Hidd Town housing projects by enabling the Ministry to complete the construction of infrastructure networks in the vicinity of the land that will be provided by the station, thus providing the opportunity for the beneficiaries of housing vouchers in the town to start building their housing units which will increase the  project completion rate to about 90%.

The project provides a safe and advanced communication environment for about 8 thousand aircraft per month arriving and departing from Bahrain International Airport (BIA), in addition to more than 600 thousand aircraft transiting annually to the territory of Bahrain that extends over an area of 83 thousand square kilometers.
