Bahrain: New measures for arrivals from 5 countries from tomorrow

Starting May 23, passengers arriving to Bahrain from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal will be limited to Bahraini citizens, GCC nationals or holders of resident visas to gain entry.

The new measures also requires these passengers to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine.

A negative PCR test result containing a QR code taken not more than 48 hours before arrival must be presented. A PCR test must also be conducted upon arrival, a second test after five days, and a third test after ten days.

Fully vaccinated or recovered passengers from GCC are exempted provided they present proof of vaccination or recovery through certification or official GCC mobile app.

This decision does not extend to passengers between the age of 6 and 17.

Passengers vaccinated in countries with mutual recognition of vaccination certificate are also exempted provided they present proof of vaccination.

Bahraini citizens and residents with a green shield of vaccination or recovery through the ‘BeAware’ app will not have to undergo COVID-19 PCR testing upon arrival.

Payments can be made on arrival in cash, electronically, or in advance via the ‘BeAware Bahrain’ mobile application.
