Bahrain: New plan for drive-in cinema revealed

Pico Exhibitions and Mukta A2 Cinemas Bahrain have revealed their plans to open the first drive-in cinema in Bahrain.

The two companies stated that preparations were underway to open the first drive-in cinema.

The location is intended to be Bahrain Bay, however, no opening dates were announced.

The idea of drive-in cinemas first came to compensate for the closure of cinemas in line with the precautionary measures adopted in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Coordination Committee, headed by His Highness the Crown Prince, had earlier announced that drive-in cinemas would be allowed to operate in accordance with health requirements and the rules of social distancing, with the continued closure of cinemas.
