Bahrain: 183 Violators Deported, and 1,656 Inspection Campaigns and Visits During a Week
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,656 inspection campaigns and visits, during the week of 19 to 25 November 2023, which resulted in the arrest of 67 violating and irregular workers, while 183 violators were deported.
The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in the monitoring of a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law in Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations.
The authority explained that 1,656 inspection visits were carried out on various shops in all governorates, in addition to 23 joint inspection campaigns, which included 13 campaigns in the Capital Governorate; 4 campaigns in Muharraq Governorate; 3 in campaigns in the Northern and Southern Governorates.
