Bahrain: No Face Masks Available in Some Pharmacies

The pharmacies raised the white flag to their customers by hanging this phrase “No face masks available” on their doors. This is just an hour before implementing the mandatory decision to wear masks for all individuals in the Kingdom in public places.

Sources told Albilad newspaper that they ran out of face masks today after launching a million masks into the market yesterday as announced by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Pharmacy owners stated that the prices of masks dramatically jumped, with the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the world, which prompted some countries to prevent exports besides shipping difficulties and high costs. They added that China is the main source of face masks, but it raised prices due to the growth of global demand.
